When you decide to close your business, you must contact the Illinois Department of Revenue at (217) 785-3707 regarding your tax liabilities. In addition, when you file your final tax form for each respective tax type, please indicate it is your final return by checking the box on the form.
Note: Some returns may not have a final return box.
